Casteldilago panorama

The apartments are in Casteldilago, a medieval village in the Arrone municipality, situated in the heart of the Nera River park, a natural protected area with an extraordinary and significant landscape, 6km from the Marmore Falls. It is an ideal point to set off for excursions and various sporting activities.
Casteldilago, situated on a rocky spur, has clearly maintained the characteristics of a medieval castle.
Its name is taken from the lake which in ancient times surrounded the area.
Its population was steadily and autonomously administered until 1817, whereafter it joined the Arrone municipality.

The most characteristic aspects of the village include: the exceptional purity, the fusion between the architectural historic and environmental heritage, evidence of the typical evolution of the villages in the Nera Valley and the quality of the restoration, with a conservative approach, so you may relive ancient feelings and emotions.
Wonderful views in the Valnerina are the ideal backdrop to an unforgettable stay. The Valnerina (or Little Valley of the River Nera), in Southern Umbria, is situated in an almost untouched natural environment characterized by the flowing Nera River and since 1995, it forms part of the natural parks system of the Umbria region, named “Nera River Park”.
The territory is dominated by green woods, hills and the valley and is abounding in water, having thick vegetation which in some parts forms a green passageway by the water. Excellent spots include Piediluco Lake and Marmore Falls which offer landscapes of rare beauty and charm.
